AS WE ARE

A SELF-SELF LOVE PROJECT

When was the last time you really took care of yourself—

not just surviving the day, but letting yourself feel beautiful, seen, and worthy?

This session is a chance to give something back to you. To love the body you’re in right now, without waiting to change it.

By booking, you’re not only choosing yourself first—you’re also helping us create a new way of seeing bodies and supporting people who are struggling with dysmorphia, eating disorders, self-harm, and suicidal thoughts.

Be part of that change—

Starting with you.

RAW BODIES. REAL HEARTS. SELF-LOVE..

RAW BODIES. REAL HEARTS. SELF-LOVE..

As We Are is world wide editorial portrait and documentary project to change how we see bodies.

We photograph and film real people of all genders, sizes, and identities, creating unretouched, fashion-forward images and intimate interviews that honor every curve, scar, stretch mark, and story as something worthy of being seen. It’s self care, self-love, and changing people’s lives.

We created this project move away from narrow, media-driven “ideals” and toward radical love for each person exactly as they are.

We are giving back to various organizations focused on suicide prevention, body dysmorphia, eating disorders, and self-harm, directing a portion of our proceeds and our platform to support their work.

For every person we photograph, we’re not only creating art and telling their story honestly—we’re contributing to a larger movement that says every body is worthy of staying, healing, and being loved as it is. With no body retouching—only light, color, location, and styling—we build a dreamlike editorial world without changing the body itself. We love to photograph anyone, especially those that have had trauma and need a to love themselves — whether you’re queer, trans, disabled, overweight, scars, stretch marks, never been photographed, hate your body, etc —- we are here to help, and you can help others struggling with the same thing.

Give love to yourself, a friend, or help those that need your support.

Make it stand out.

As We Are is a cross-country editorial portrait and documentary project by fashion photographers Rylee Prenatt and Chris Koch. We photograph and film real people of all genders, sizes, and identities across the U.S., creating unretouched, fashion-forward images and intimate interviews that honor every curve, scar, stretch mark, and story as something worthy of being seen.

Our mission is to change how we see bodies: away from narrow, media-driven “ideals” and toward radical love for each person exactly as they are. With no body retouching—only light, color, location, and styling—we build a dreamlike editorial world without changing the body itself. We are especially committed to queer, trans, fat, disabled, and otherwise underrepresented folks, shown not as “before and after,” but as already beautiful, already enough.

Beyond the images, As We Are is about giving back. We’re partnering with organizations focused on suicide prevention, body dysmorphia, eating disorders, and self-harm, directing a portion of our proceeds and our platform to support their work. For every person we photograph, we’re not only creating art and telling their story honestly—we’re contributing to a larger movement that says every body is worthy of staying, healing, and being loved as it is.

We want to hear your story.

We want to tell your story.

We’re traveling across the country to document real people to give them the confidence, beauty and oportunity that is personal and self loving.

This is a body-affirming, self-love project for *all* humans.

raw, unfiltered, imperfect, and beautiful.

women, men, trans, and non-binary folks alike —

captured by two queer artists who know what it feels like to grow up feeling unseen.

We’re creating honest portraits and short films that celebrate you exactly as you are. No retouching, no judgment — just light, color, movement, and truth. Our mission is simple: to give people who’ve never had the chance to feel seen or beautiful a moment where they do. A moment where their story, their body, and their heart is honored.

Send us your story and we would love for you to be part of the project.

Let change the world together.

Make it stand out.

Hey - I’m Christopher

It’s always hard to share your past but it’s empowering

… I grew up real conservative, body shame kind of Mormon. I was scared to change in front of anyone. I skipped gym class because I didn’t want to be naked in the locker room. I hated my body. I got made fun of for everything — my moles, my nipples, my freckles, my voice, my chicken legs, my flat ass, my body hair, my buck teeth, my ears. Literally all of it.

And for so long, I believed all that shit. I almost got surgery a few times. I just wanted to be '“handsome” But then I started dating people who actually liked those things about me. and that kind of cracked me open a little.

Now? at 37 — finally. I love my weird imperfect body. It’s hairy and soft and uneven and whatever. But it’s mine. And honestly, I have learned confidence by accepting my natural beauty — I care if I feel like me. The people who love me now and I’m close with love my heart. My beautiful body and mostly they love who I am.

When Rylee photographed me, it helped me see myself in a different light. I want to give the same confidence through my talent to anyone and everytone. So now we’re going across the country and doing that for other people. For anyone. If you’ve ever felt gross or ashamed or not enough — we see you. You deserve to feel beautiful in your skin. Just as you are.
